Renewable Energy

Renewable energy has become an essential element in solving some of the world’s biggest problems. According to Energy Access Outlook 2017, an estimated 1.1 billion people–14 % of the global population—do not have access to electricity, and many more suffer from a poor supply of electricity. In many markets, on-shore wind power, solar photovoltaic, hybrid and off-grid energy systems have become the most cost competitive sources of electricity. These solutions also help reduce the burning of fossil fuels which are the primary cause of anthropomorphic caused global warming. Countries, regions, states, cities and corporations world-wide have set renewable energy targets for the future – not only due to the call for climate action – but also because of economic benefits including jobs and lower electricity costs.
